The 530i model gets a gasoline engine, which delivers a maximum output of 190 kW @ 6500 rpm and a torque of 300 Nm @ 2400 rpm. A maximum power of 130 kW @ 4000 rpm and torque of 350 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm are generated by the 520d diesel engine. The 530d and 530d highline variants of BMW 5 Series sedan are powered by 2993 cc diesel engine, which churns out a power of 173 kW @ 4000 rpm and a torque of 500 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm. All the engines of BMW 5 Series sedan promise to deliver outstanding fuel economy.
