| Brooke Hanson | 
Australian swimmer Brooke Hanson has one of the most amazing stories to  tell in the history of the Olympics. In 1996, Hanson missed the Olympic  team in the 100m breaststroke by 0.11 seconds and then in 2000 she  missed the Sydney Olympic team by 0.80 second. After winning 3 gold at  the 2004 Olympic Selection Trials was selected in her first Olympic team  at the age of 26 years. (AFP)
